Paediatric dentistry in Saquarema

Caring for children’s smiles, from their very first teeth.

Dr. Cássia Queiroz Cordeiro, CROE's paediatric dentist

What is paediatric dentistry?

Paediatric dentistry is the specialty that looks after the oral health of babies, children and teenagers. As well as treatment, it gives families guidance on brushing, diet and habits that affect the teeth.

The first appointment can take place as soon as the first teeth appear. Starting early helps children get used to the dentist and makes it possible to prevent problems before they arise.

At CROE, we go at each child’s own pace, and the clinic has a children’s corner to welcome the whole family.

Frequently asked questions

Can’t find your question? Talk to our team on WhatsApp.

At what age should children first see the dentist?
The recommendation is as soon as the first teeth appear, or by the first birthday. Even without any visible problems, the appointment gives the family guidance on care at home.
Do baby teeth need treatment?
Yes. Baby teeth are important for chewing, speaking and holding space for the permanent teeth. Untreated decay can cause pain and infection.
What if my child is afraid?
We go at each child's own pace, with a conversation before any procedure. If you have questions about how to prepare your child for the appointment, talk to our team.
Do you accept dental insurance plans?
CROE does not work with dental insurance plans. Treatment is private, paid by credit card or upfront. At your consultation, you will see the full plan for your case before you decide.
